in Paris. The Louvre announced that all 35,000 of its exhibits will be
on view at its website. Also, around 130,000 drawings that are too fragile
to show at the museum will be on view at the website. A small part of
its collection, including the famous "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci
is already on the webiste. Internet Director Catherine Jaques stated,

the plan is to make the Louvre the world's biggest virtual museum."
The museum plans to have 165,000 works online by 2003.
