Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Li Yingchun, I come from the Beijing learning center (2002) spring. I have finished my undergraduate course and oral presentation. It is a great honor for me to give this speech on behalf of all my classmates.

First of all, I would like to say “Thank You” to all leaders, all tutors, and all staff who work in the institute of online education of Beijing Foreign Studies University.

If I joined Beiwaionline because of its high reputation three years ago, today, after three years’ studying in this famous university, I would say that Beiwaionline is worthy of its name. It is the top-level university for studying English because of its professional textbooks, tutors and teaching approaches.

I love the textbooks of Beiwaionline. Professor Guide is not a textbook, but a real kind and intelligent professor who guides us to make a learning strategy, helps us to build confidence and bring us to the modern business world by using beautiful English language. Now, all the textbooks, tapes and courseware are my treasures. When I draft business letters, when I want to understand foreign cultures deeply, when I explore the origin of English, I refer back constantly to these treasures and use them with delight.

I love the tutors in Beiwaionline. I was moved by their professional attitude and approach. I was also attracted by their vivid lectures. Their support and encouragement stimulated me greatly and eventually I persisted with my study till the end.

I love my classmates in Beiwaionline. We got to know each other here and our friendship has been developed here. When I recall the times that we reviewed lesson together, I do enjoy these sweet memories! On one day in Jul 2004, our study group went to a pub to review our lessons for final exam preparation as usual, and when we sat down, the waiter brought me a big bunch of yellow roses and a birthday cake, what a surprise! Yes, I remembered it was my birthday that day. With sweet smiles on their faces, my dear friends sang the birthday song for me! At that moment, I felt I was the happiest lady in the world. Because I gained knowledge at Beiwaionline, and I also gained friendship in Beiwai, which I will cherish forever.

Today is a significant day for Beiwaionline, its fifth birthday. As a student, I am proud of its achievement. I have witnessed its growth during the past years. The study record card that used to be manuscript now has changed to an electronic one. The website becomes more and more multi-functional, it shares lots of knowledge and information among its readers.

Beiwaionline also shares its top-level lectures with the public so as to boost English studying in the whole of society. With its enterprising spirit and professional approaches, I believe Beiwaionline will become a top-level university in the world eventually. Beiwaionline will help more and more people to realize their dreams by using advanced on-line teaching. On behalf of all our graduated students, I would like to convey our best wishes to Beiwaionline. We will continue to pay attention to its development, promote its brand to society, and we will make our contributions to Beiwai and Beiwaionline by different means. One day, I hope I will become its student again!
