Call for Papers
The conference will be jointly hosted by China National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education and Institute of Online Education, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and will cover most aspects of online English language education in China and around the world. It will include keynote addresses, presentation sessions and workshops.
Papers on any aspect of online English language teaching are invited. Papers on the following topics will be particularly welcome:
- New technology in online English language education
- Conception and operationalization of online education
- The roles of tutors and learners and orientation of teaching and learning strategies
- The knowledge base of online English language education
- Online English language education curriculum and material development
- Testing and assessment in online English language education
- Tutor and learner support in online English language education
- Affect in online English language education
- Cost-effectiveness and management of online education
- Other areas in connection with online English language education
The closing date for abstracts will be 30 August 2005.
The abstracts (about 200 words) should contain sufficiently detailed information for a refereeing judgment to be made. And the title, the name(s) of the author(s), full address and e-mail should be included. Please send your abstract as attachment to conference@beiwaionline.com .
Results of abstract and the draft conference programme will be published by September 2005. |
