BA degree paper writing aims to achieve the following goals:

1)       You will learn to study a specific question related to your subject area and demonstrate independence and self-discipline in your research.

2)       You will gain an opportunity to examine some fundamental issues concerning your chosen subject, the problem that you have encountered, and approached for researching your subject.

3)       You will learn to acquire information from primary sources, such as questionnaires, surveys, interviews, observation notes, etc, and from credible secondary sources, such as newspapers, magazines, journals, etc.

4)       After sufficiently narrowing down your topic, you will learn to turn your focused subject into either a question that most interests you or a question that arises naturally from your topic. The entire thesis must be oriented toward finding an answer to this question.

5)       You will learn not to simply accept the answers your sources offer, but to interpret the facts and views presented by other sources.  You will also identify further questions that arise from analysis, and perhaps even revise and reorient your original topic.

6)       You will learn to write in a formal, objective style, while conveying a body of knowledge and factual information.  You will analytically examine the strengths and weaknesses of your information, isolate the most sharply defined aspect as the “thesis statement,” and finally substantiates your thesis statement using logical and well-founded arguments.
